Supporting Digital Learning at Payette High School
Payette High School provides Chromebooks to support teaching, learning, communication, collaboration, and access to educational resources both at school and at home. Chromebooks are an important learning tool that help learners engage in digital learning opportunities and access the technology resources needed for academic success.
Learners are expected to use district technology responsibly, safely, and in accordance with district expectations and acceptable use guidelines.
Chromebook Program Overview
Payette High School provides Chromebooks to help learners:

- Communicate through district platforms
- Develop technology and digital citizenship skills

Learner Responsibilities
Learners are expected to:
- Bring their Chromebook charged and ready each day
- Use the device responsibly and appropriately
- Protect the Chromebook from damage
- Follow district technology expectations
- Use school-issued accounts for educational purposes
- Report problems or damage promptly
Chromebooks remain the property of Payette School District.
Chromebook Care Expectations
To help keep devices working properly, learners should:
- Transport Chromebooks carefully
- Avoid food or drinks near devices
- Keep devices in protective cases when appropriate
- Avoid placing pressure on screens
- Charge devices nightly
- Store Chromebooks safely when not in use
Technology accidents happen. Report any issues to the office immediately.
Digital Citizenship & Appropriate Use
Learners are expected to use district technology in ways that are:
- Safe
- Respectful
- Responsible
- Educationally appropriate
Inappropriate technology use may result in loss of privileges and additional disciplinary action consistent with district policies and student handbook expectations.
Technology Support
If a Chromebook is:
- damaged
- not functioning properly
- missing
- unable to connect
- experiencing login issues
learners should contact the school office as soon as possible for support.
Chromebook Check-Out & Return
Additional procedures may apply regarding:
- device checkout
- summer collection
- transfers or withdrawals
- graduating seniors
- fines or obligations related to unreturned devices
Families and learners should follow school communication regarding end-of-year technology procedures.
Internet & Filtering Information
District-issued Chromebooks are intended for educational use and may include internet filtering and monitoring systems consistent with federal law and district technology policies.
Filtering and monitoring help support learner safety and appropriate technology use.
