Driving Responsibility Starts Here

Payette High School is committed to maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient campus environment for all learners, staff, families, and visitors. Learners who drive to school are expected to follow all school parking expectations, traffic procedures, and safety guidelines while on campus.

Parking privileges are a convenience provided to eligible learners and may be revoked if school expectations are not followed.

Learner Parking Expectations

Learners who drive to school are expected to:

  • Drive safely and responsibly at all times
  • Follow all traffic flow patterns
  • Park only in approved learner parking areas
  • Follow directions from staff and signage
  • Maintain current school parking documentation when required

Parking on campus is considered a privilege and may be restricted or revoked for safety concerns or repeated violations.

Parking Permit Information

Learners who park on campus may be required to:

  • Complete a parking registration form
  • Provide current driver’s license information
  • Provide proof of insurance
  • Register vehicle information with the school office

Additional permit procedures or requirements may apply throughout the school year.

Designated Parking Areas

Learners will:

  • Park only in designated learner parking areas
  • Avoid staff, visitor, bus, fire lane, and restricted parking areas
  • Follow painted lines and parking signage
  • Respect accessible parking requirements

Vehicles parked in unauthorized areas may be subject to disciplinary action or additional consequences consistent with school expectations.

Safe Driving Expectations

Safety is a priority on campus.

Learners are expected to:

  • Drive slowly and carefully in parking lots
  • Yield to pedestrians and buses
  • Follow arrival and dismissal procedures
  • Avoid distracted driving
  • Respect neighboring streets and property

Unsafe driving may result in loss of parking privileges and additional disciplinary action.

Vehicles & Campus Expectations

The following are not permitted:

  • Reckless driving
  • Speeding
  • Excessive noise or music
  • Unsafe behavior in parking lots
  • Loitering in vehicles during the school day
  • Unauthorized vehicle use during school hours

Vehicles parked on school property remain subject to school rules and applicable district policies.

Parking Privileges

Parking privileges are intended to support learner transportation needs while maintaining a safe campus environment.

Parking privileges may be suspended or revoked for:

  • Repeated parking violations
  • Unsafe driving
  • Failure to follow school expectations
  • Unauthorized parking
  • Disciplinary concerns

Visitor Parking

Visitors to Payette High School should:

  • Park in designated visitor parking areas
  • Check in through the main office when appropriate
  • Follow all posted parking signage
